Chiba University is a national university in the city of Chiba, Japan. It offers Doctoral degrees in education as part of a coalition with Tokyo Gakugei University, Saitama University, and Yokohama National University. Chiba University fosters creative students who learn proactively and use their talents to make positive contributions to society. Results produced from their research are used to benefit to people throughout the world.

Role in the project: Chiba University will be involved in the development of catalysts based on non-critical metals for the hydrogenation of biomass-derived molecules. These will be based on non-precious metals and metal oxides.
