Name: Guanna Li

Short CV
Guanna Li was born on 17th of Feb. 1983 in CHINA. She started her master-doctor continuous project from Sep. 2005 in State Key Laboratory of Catalysis, Dalian institute of chemical physics, Chinese Academy of Science (DICP, CAS), under the supervision of Prof. Can Li. During her PhD study, she participated in the Program for Strategic Scientific Alliances between China and The Netherlands (PSA). She obtained her PhD degree from DICP in Oct. 2011. Then she moved to TU/e continuously worked on the PAS program and finished her PhD defense at TU/e in Mar. 2013. Since then she has been working at the same group as a post-doctoral research fellow on the projects of NEXT-GTL and NOVACAM.
Describe the project shortly in your own words?
Investigation the mechanism of biomass transformation reaction catalyzed by heterogeneous catalysts of zeolites and metal oxide.
What is the biggest challenge for you, or what fascinates you the most in this research project?
To grasp the essential factors controlling a specific catalytic reaction.
What is your future career ambition?
To be an expert in the field of theoretical chemistry.
How do you like to spend your time when not working on your research?
Badminton, table tennis, volleyball, cooking, dance
