The NOVACAM team held its first annual joint EU-Japan conference, hosted by Japanese and EU Coordinators Professors Ueda and Hensen at Kyoto University. All teams from the project presented their latest research updates, with an opportunity for the project’s young researchers to discuss their findings and take constructive advice from the senior academics present. Further plans for research exchanges and training webinars were also developed. Many of the delegates then went on to attend and present at the TOCATS conference.
KTN’s Catherine Joce also presented the NOVACAM project as a case study of EU-Japan coordinated projects at the EU-Japan workshop on scientific cooperation, hosted by the JEUPISTE project in Kobe.
